   Dec-25-13 John Grefe (replies)

abcpokerboy: John was a friend of mine. Very gentle, very kind. I haven't seen him in a month or so and wondered what had happened. I hope he is at rest.

Oct-01-13 Kasparov vs Lutikov, 1978 (replies)

abcpokerboy: What do you think about 49. Rb1 Qc8? Also guards againts Rb7. Maybe black has a fighting chance here. Qxe6+ any Qxd5.

Mar-30-13 Carlsen vs Ivanchuk, 2013 (replies)

abcpokerboy: Hesam, yes, I assume Sonas is assigning different probabilities based on rating variances, first move, tendencies for individuals to play decisive games, et al.

   Mar-16-13 P Ostermeyer vs Huebner, 1978

abcpokerboy: Ostermeyer winner?!? That pun is the wurst!

   Feb-21-13 Yudasin vs A Mikhalchishin, 1983 (replies)

abcpokerboy: Vovan, what about Bh2+?

   Aug-25-12 A H Williams vs Dzindzichashvili, 1984 (replies)

abcpokerboy: I'm fairly sure that the last move is a mistake; d2 wins and was probably the last move. Qe2 loses.

   Aug-09-12 Walter Browne (replies)

abcpokerboy: Walter has finished his autobiography, including analysis of his 101 best games, and I saw an advanced copy sent to him by the publisher (Walter's a friend of mine). It looks nice and has fairly comprehensive notes. I believe it will be available for purchase late this year.

   Jul-16-12 40th World Open (2012) (replies)

abcpokerboy: Would you like to see real steam from Tolengoy? Ask him about the recent Pacquaio fight. That'll make his talk of Wesley So seem reasonable, I'd guess.

   May-29-12 G Burgess vs W N Watson, 1989 (replies)

abcpokerboy: Qg2+ never entered my mind, Benoni. I'll grant you that there is almost no move so bad I haven't played it, but I seem to have missed that one. I'll try harder next time...;)

   Feb-25-12 W A Brown vs R Kneebone, 1985 (replies)

abcpokerboy: I talked with the American GM Walter Browne today and asked him if he played this game (I've known Walter more than 20 years). It isn't him, he never played anyone named Kneebone, and he had no idea about the game in question.
