bane77: WOW! First variation (cxd3) is like a study. But the other, main variation is very long and hard to calculate.

Dec-17-17 Kaidanov vs Wojtkiewicz, 1994 (replies)

bane77: First three moves were easy to see for me, at least that was an obvious idea. But the real killer-move is 21. Nxd5! Black is unable to defend weak black squares.

   Oct-11-17 A M Galliamova vs Morozevich, 1997

bane77: WOW! Very deep calculation starting from 37.Bxa4 to 39.Ne7, leaving Rh6 en-prise and going for checkmate.

   Sep-29-17 S Donoso Diaz vs G Recabarren, 2016 (replies)

bane77: I didn't calculate much, but it is clear that Ke6 has to be the right move. Any move with rook like Rc2, Rc3, Rc4 or such is a waste of time. King has to approach closer to pawns, either in front of them to first rank (which is impossible here) or to attack them. So Ke6 - Kxg2; Kf5 -

Sep-22-17 Ding Liren vs Aronian, 2013 (replies)

bane77: I wonder if white could have played 34.Kxf1 instead or Rxf1 and save a tempo for Re5. But also, black had to play 34...axb4 instead of Nf6. This is very, very deep game by white. Even Stockfish thinks that 37.Bxg7!! leads to draw rather than to win.

Sep-21-17 Von Der Lasa vs Staunton, 1853 (replies)

bane77: I saw Rxe4 and Na2+ idea instantly but Rxe4 gives white an option to play b3 and escape with Kb2. Therefore Na2+ first, then Rxe4 and white is lost. Now if b3, Qa5+ wins. Also if Bxe4, then Qxe4 and black has many options like Qxd5, Re8, Ne5 or Bf5 with serious threats. I didn't ...

Sep-15-17 Aronian vs Ivanchuk, 2017 (replies)

bane77: I wonder why a top GM decides not to play essential move Nf6 in every queen pawn opening game? Moves 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 were candidates for move Nf6. Unexplainable decision by black.

   Sep-15-17 NN vs R Crepeaux, 1923 (replies)

bane77: 14...f5+ also leads to quick checkmate (14... f5+ 15. Kxf5 (15. Kh5 g6+ 16. Kh6 Bf8+ 17. Bg7 Nf7#) 15... g6+ 16. Kf6 (16. Kg4 h5#) 16... O-O#).

   Aug-30-17 M Sixtensson vs G West, 1986 (replies)

bane77: 7.0-0 is a first inaccuracy. 7.Nc3 is better, to protect Be2. 7.Be3 or even 7.Qb3 are good. 9. d5 is a fatal error. 9.h3 is the only move that saves white but it runs into hard-to-see variation: 9.h3 exd4 10. hxg4 Nxg4 11. Bg5 f6 12. Bh4 d3 13. Bxd3 Nb4 14. Ne5 Rxd3 15. Qxg4+ Qxg4 ...
