my favorite players are Mieses and Nimzovitch. I like the chess era of the Victorian and later Edwardian Period of the years before WWI. My rating ranges between 1350 and 1450. Full Member

dorsnikov: Wouldn't have seen that series of moves in a million years!

dorsnikov: Believe it or not I got the first two moves. The rest were too difficult.

dorsnikov: By the any of you people belong to out of England? If you do I'd welcome a challenge. My game name is "dorsnikov."

dorsnikov: After a lot thinking I got it. But it sure wasn't easy.

dorsnikov: I felt that .... N x h3 had some promise?

dorsnikov: If this your new diagram format for these stinks!
   Apr-12-20 Bologan vs M Mchedlishvili, 2012 (replies)
dorsnikov: Impossible to visualize that far ahead. Had to be done on instinct.
Mar-28-20 Motylev vs Bu Xiangzhi, 2005 (replies)
dorsnikov: I couldn't even come close to the correct first move. Players like me do complete injustice to the game of chess. It's like asking a blacksmith to write Shakespear.
   Feb-10-20 R Swinkels vs C Bauer, 2007 (replies)
dorsnikov: I went with 38... Q-a4. Not the killer move but plausible. I think ???
Jan-19-20 Bologan vs Kasimdzhanov, 2002 (replies)
dorsnikov: I believe it impossible to visualize that many moves in such perfect sequence. Bxh6 had to be made strictly on positional intuition knowing it would wreck the king side.
