   Jan-28-20 Duchamp vs V Kahn, 1924 (replies)

gpbear: <keypusher> <In 1924 the first time control was typically at move 30, not move 40.> https://www.olimpbase.org/1924x/192... Time control: 40 moves in 2 hours, then each next 20 moves in 1 hour. "Probably" not definitely :P

   Oct-17-19 Nezhmetdinov vs Tal, 1961

gpbear: To do this against Tal is astounding.

   Oct-11-19 Paul Morphy (replies)

gpbear: Just paying my respects to the greatest of all time!

   Jun-20-19 Tal vs C Weldon, 1949 (replies)

gpbear: That Tal guy was pretty good

   Jun-16-19 Gothenburg (1920)

Feb-25-18 Morphy vs Anderssen, 1858 (replies)

gpbear: This game took all of 30 minutes to complete.

   Feb-25-18 Capablanca vs Maroczy, 1926

gpbear: I find the disdain some members of the chess.com community have for this game laughable. If you can't appreciate symmetry in chess, then you've had your nose buried too deep in books to value simple aesthetic harmony.

   Feb-06-18 K Makarczyk vs Duchamp, 1933

gpbear: "Duchamp had a terrible performance at Folkestone" Interestingly enough, he beat the man who won, Znosko-Borovsky, the year before.

   Feb-05-18 Duchamp vs F Lazard, 1929

gpbear: He didn't "make" the urinal, he bought it and submitted it to an art jury he was a member of as a test, it was rejected.

Feb-04-18 Duchamp vs Mario Schroeder, 1922

gpbear: Happy 96th birthday to this game, by the way.
