I'm an improving player from Mexico. I love chess and love to study it. I hope to someday become a grandmaster. I love going over master games and learn from them.

Kramnik es el mejor jugador del mundo y lo va a seguir siendo hasta llegar a sus 40. Se va a retirar campeón. Algo que Kasparov no logró hacer.

ikalel: forget it, it's a draw.

ikalel: great puzzle! I loved it. More of these ChessGames, please!

   May-08-07 K Spraggett vs C P Santos, 2000 (replies)

ikalel: You see? It can't be that easy. Two people already posted saying they didn't get it. I'm sure it's more than two though, but not everybody who misses posts a message to say it.

ikalel: <adair10: Kamsky (1994), Gelfand (1994) and Shirov (1998). All of them have beaten Kramnik in a match.> Kapell, I know Kramnik's match against Shirov was played at classical time controls. Were his matches against Gelfand and Kamsky rapid or classical?

ikalel: I'm also interested in having a live broadcast page without computer analysis

ikalel: Eugene Perelshteyn is from Zhitomir, Ukraine; not Russia.

Apr-21-07 Uhlmann vs Smyslov, 1971 (replies)

ikalel: Most will doubt Smyslov saw the whole line till the end when he played Nxf2 but I'm sure he'd seen it all the way to Re6 when he played Rxe5. (Rxe5 White's dark squares and King are weak. After that, it was all routine moves for Smyslov.

ikalel: I'm not seeing any moves or games on the official site for round 4.

   Apr-20-07 Beliavsky vs P Popovic, 1982 (replies)

ikalel: After 30...Rxd7 it is actually better to win a pawn first with 31.Rxh5+ and only then Rxd5.

   Apr-17-07 J Cukierman vs NN, 1934 (replies)

ikalel: The difficulty level should be a little higher, in my opinion. You don't get any pleasure from solving these puzzles.
