My name is Ivan Ivanov and I was born and grew up in Bulgaria. When I was 15 I moved to the US. I've played chess with my grandfather a lot when I was a kid, then I stoped playing for 10 year and now I'm returning to it.

krusheto: Xmas present YEEEEEY

Nov-25-07 Hort vs Hartston, 1976 (replies)

krusheto: Well I guessed 24.Ne6 dxe6 25.Ng5, but I didn't see black's response to it nor any forcing line that white might have under it's sleeve. I'm giving up on insane puzzles lol.

krusheto: <Whitehat1963> After 17.Ne5 Ke3 18.Bg4 the queen is trapped.

krusheto: 16.Nxc3! demolishes the pawn structure and white is left defenseless. White should have resigned at this point instead of waiting to get mated. On another note this sac definitely goes in my collection.

krusheto: Hmm, 59.Qd8 was obvious but I thought the only response to that is 59... g5. I always have such trouble with the response of the opponent when doing puzzles! The reason for that I think is because I'm too eager to mate so I overlook all the possible moves of the opponent. After ...

   Oct-02-07 V Kravchenko vs E Vorobiov, 2000 (replies)

krusheto: Missed it yesterday like a complete idiot. Today's puzzle though seems easier. I don't know why. Maybe it's because it involves a pseudo sacrifice and that's what I first look for to solve a puzzle. And I have no excuse too - Monday is a queen sac day... I guess this is just a ...

   Sep-13-07 Meitner vs Chigorin, 1882

krusheto: nice tactical finish. i wish i was better in endgames :(

Sep-12-07 Morphy vs NN, 1850 (replies)

krusheto: I would actually imagine that used the queen to check and the bishop to mate because he didn't want to make the other player sad for losing his queen for a bishop. Not that it matters anyway since he's mate the next turn but if it's a friend of Morphy's and he doesn't want to hurt ...

   Sep-12-07 J N Berger vs J Plachutta, 1866 (replies)

krusheto: <xKinGKooLx> Meister = Master? Maybe, who knows? Plus in Bulgarian master is pronounced Maister or Maistor.

   Sep-10-07 V Rothuis vs F Olafsson, 2007 (replies)

krusheto: Wow what a non standardized opening. I tend to screw up badly in these types of games no matter which side I'm playing :(
