Oct-17-14 Karpov vs Andersson, 1973 (replies)

lioric: @Adrian P I don't think Bb7-Ba6 and Qb3-a5-b5 is a characteristic plan at all. It is highly original and typical of Karpov's original play.

Dec-02-13 Carlsen vs Svidler, 2013 (replies)

lioric: Not sure if Svidler intentionally blundered the bishop, this being a Blitz game, the game could have gone on for a few more moves. Here's a video link of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm54...

   Nov-19-13 O Lemmers vs McShane, 2010 (replies)

lioric: 23...Nd6 is featured as an invisible resource in the hess Book Invisible Chess Moves. I recommend it.

   Oct-02-13 Adams vs Polgar, 2012

lioric: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgEq... A high rated game featuring this opening.

   Sep-23-13 Kramnik vs Hodgson, 1993

lioric: My trainer showed me this unbelievable line for Black today.

Aug-31-13 Spassky vs Lobron, 1980 (replies)

lioric: Very interesting game between Lobron and Spassky. My question is, why would Black voluntarily trap his rook on a7 (41...Ra7) while a7 wasn't even a threat?

Aug-06-13 Lasker vs Albin, 1893 (replies)

lioric: What a positional masterpiece by Lasker. Example treatment. I "get it".

Jul-31-13 Karjakin vs Nakamura, 2013 (replies)

lioric: Very lovely tactic in the end to seal the deal ... Nakamura thought for about 10 seconds to find his 29th move.

   Jul-28-13 Anand vs A Mikhalchishin, 1989

lioric: Ouch. Queen trapped.

   Jul-16-13 Anand vs P Thipsay, 1986

lioric: Beautiful game ... I agree with Open Defence, Anand was only temporarily a pawn down, his coordination + activity were more than enough compensation.
