revelator: <acirce> how should we interpret Rybka's contradicting messages then ?

   Jul-05-08 Dortmund Sparkassen (2008) (replies)

revelator: <newton> Shipov says a possible idea is to bring the king to g3 and then play Rc1. The question is, can Black generate counterplay while White executes this rather slow plan. I doubt that giving up the h4 pawn would be stronger. after all, Black's Rook gets very active in ...

revelator: I think the chances of van wely winning are rather slim. the pawns on d4 and e5 are very strong and can be set into motion when white wants to use his knight for other purposes. The engines do not see a win either, they just value the White's (useless) extra pawn.

revelator: Jezus, <Mateo> don't be such a %#*&. If I want to play a game I will do so. I just want to know why you think that losing another pawn is the best thing white can do. If you have computer analysis that black is in a mating net then just say so.
