"Vice" president of the short-lived club "3 Sisters" at California State University (CSU), later renamed Club 'Los Volcanes'. Our most memorable days were having

IM John A Peters (he defeated Tal @ Long Beach '88)

Timur Gareyev (blindfold world record holder)

Smbat Gariginovich Lputian (Patriarch of Armenian chess)

give us spankings, simuls and lectures.

Over 40 now, with no longer much interest in OTB, I am a patient of DMH. So forgive me if you see a bit of nonsense by me on this good site I've stumbled upon. I'm usually on good behavior, more so when under evening medication.

Some call me Kuppo.

savage sanctuary: Where's team Mexico? I'm a big fan ever since coming across this J Gonzalez Garcia vs Speelman, 2006 - conjured up a reminiscence of Torre's "Windmill" nightmare over Lasker, 1925

savage sanctuary: This is the other white victory of Kramnik in the event. Out of 37 games: 2 wins with wht, 7 with blk. Mad bizarreness.
