Mar-14-03 Kasparov vs Radjabov, 2003 (replies)

ShadoutMapes: "21... Rxh2 22.Rxh2 Nxh2 23.Nh5 g6 24.Nf6 - and the knight on h2 perishes sooner of later." -Kasparov, and from the looks of it, he's right.

   Mar-14-03 Fischer vs R Burger, 1964 (replies)

ShadoutMapes: 11...Ne3 12.Qg3 (completely forced, 12.Qxe3 and Qxb7 are both met with Qxg2#!) 12...Qxg3 13.hxg3 Nc2! and black wins the rook. Any refuting this?

Mar-14-03 Larsen vs Spassky, 1970 (replies)

ShadoutMapes: dk, as Honza said, if black plays hxg3, it leads to an overwhelming attack, white may as well take the knight. 13.Bxg7 Rh7 and white must protect the bishop and black can play hxg3. 13.Bf3 might pull white out of the fire temporarily, but I doubt Larsen saw 14... Rh1! in ...

Mar-14-03 Morphy vs Duke Karl / Count Isouard, 1858 (replies)

ShadoutMapes: I always thought 9... b5 was a bad move, which weakened the queenside, though it's hard to suggest a better move (9... h6 possibly?). I think after white's mate threat, it gave Morphy an extra tempo and trapped black's entire kingside, and black would've lost no matter what ...

ShadoutMapes: Capablanca vs NN, 1918 This is Capablanca vs. NN, the unknown player tries a symetrical game, and Capablanca destroys him.

ShadoutMapes: Bears: You're probably right about the 6th move. On Bb4, I was referring to my impending checkmate (moving my knight would be checkmate, I had to act fast). 18... Rxe3 19. gxh6 Qd5+ 20. Kc1 Qd2+ 21. Kb1 Qd1+ 22. Bc1 g6 and white is far from checkmate, and has major problems ...

   Feb-04-03 Morphy vs A Morphy, 1850 (replies)

ShadoutMapes: http://www.angelfire.com/games3/AJs... Check out that game, it could've ended with 0-0-0#, but he moves the queen out of the way instead. Also, this game doesn't work in MyChess, it works in all other but MyChess.
