   Jul-04-09 Ivanchuk vs Smirin, 2007
ski: i admire chuky's patience in not grabbing the knight on a5 right away, then gaining an important tempo with the rook to e1 (important placement for that rook). the only thing that caught my attention was the wandering bishop on moves on 20 and 21. but 23.Bxe6 seemed to seal this game up
Jun-11-09 Carlsen vs Van Wely, 2008
ski: move 20...f5? did van wely forget en passant? that move seemed to lead to bad things. and carlsen's 22. nf7 seemed to seal van wely's fate, eventually leaving black's king naked. these rapid games bring the best and worse of the GMs, for sure.

ski: the reason why i probably will never achieve GM status is because at move 17, if i were playing black, i would have taken with the bishop and NOT the pawn. that's thinking outside of the box. way to go vishy.
Jun-06-09 Botvinnik vs Keres, 1966 (replies)
ski: i know it's a couple of years late, but the king move to g1 was probably done simply to get the king off of the black bishop's diagonal. in any event, this is one of my favourite games Boty engineered.

ski: 39... Rb2 is such a beautiful move.

ski: hmmm, well thanks. i will have to think about that one.
