Ex romanian master, living in Canada, between computers (artificial intelligence, databases) and literature. Steinitz was probably the best chess player. Lasker the most successful. Capablanca the only life time genius. Tal had the worst performance/talent ratio (sickness...) Fischer is the only man in history who wiped out the soviet chess machine. Karpov showed again how a chess champion should look like. Kasparov was the last and the greatest. And now in 2007 finally we have a worthy champion but let's see for how much time. Welcome Anand !

Feb-20-16 FIDE Women's Grand Prix Tehran (2016) (replies)

tud: Fantastic guys. Yes, Iran is a primitive country, definitely, we all know it and when I read these comments, I feel like reading The Em peror's new clothes... Someone, all of a sudden, the child says: ""But he hasn't got anything on,"...

Nov-23-14 Carlsen - Anand World Championship Match (2014) (replies)

tud: At the horizon is Caruana...

Oct-14-14 FIDE Grand Prix Baku (2014) (replies)

tud: Gelfand will convert to Islam for a day or two and play with Ghaem - just because he is a nice gentleman. Or Iran will enter the 21st century, that is also an alternative.

Sep-04-14 Caruana vs Carlsen, 2014 (replies)

tud: 8/8 incredible...

Nov-16-13 Anand - Carlsen World Championship Match (2013) (replies)

tud: Playing the essence of chess... Not anymore novelties in openings, just chess.

   Sep-03-13 Borislav Ivanov (replies)

tud: I am a little bit unhappy he did not get caught. Maybe one more tournament would have helped ?!

   Aug-29-13 D Andreikin vs Karjakin, 2013

tud: Forward. All white pieces go forward.

May-14-13 Carlsen vs Radjabov, 2013 (replies)

tud: Carlsen is in the same category with Lasker and Korchnoy. Real fighters. Die hard people. Endgame masters.

Apr-01-13 World Championship Candidates (2013) (replies)

tud: I owe an apology to Ivanchuck or do I? Unpredictable man. And also, not anymore so sure of Carlsen beating Anand. There is something the young needs to improve and he needs something I am not sure he is good at. To build a team around him.

   Jun-27-12 Magnus Carlsen (replies)

tud: Yes, Magnus is very mature for his age and one other thing, he is good with physical sports, so he will be a great player for many years to come. I think next step he should play a machine, say Fritz, before Anand. Just my 2 cents...
