Sep-30-05 FIDE World Championship Tournament (2005) (replies)

zorro: round 3: Moro - Topa 0-1 Svidler - Leko 1/2 Polgar - Kasim 1/2 Anand - Adams 1/2

Sep-12-05 Queen's Gambit Declined, Chigorin Defense (D07) (replies)

zorro: I think that 3.cd5 is hardly a test for the Chigorin

   Jun-15-05 Kibitzer's Café (replies)

zorro: I considered Junior9 but I read an article on chessbase where they say that although its style is enterprising and very dynamic its analysis are not 100% always trustable

   Jun-14-05 D Ippolito vs G Jurgensen, 2005

zorro: This line with 9. Qb2 is suggested by Burgess & Pederssen's Beating the Indian Defences and I think I'll make it my choice

   Jun-14-05 Nakamura vs M Casella, 2005 (replies)

zorro: Hhmmm.. funny scoresheet. Nakamura is not 2752 in the first place and I dont see why Black resigned...

   Jun-10-05 Sam Sloan (replies)

zorro: Lone Sloan was main character of a fantastic comics from early 80's, is this guy a relative by any chance? Or was the comics named after him?

   May-12-05 Curt Hansen (replies)

zorro: I think his name is Carsten not Curt.

   Apr-30-05 Queen's Gambit Accepted (D20) (replies)

zorro: <madman99x> I honestly think that the gambit in its pure form, namely 1. d4 d5 2. c4 dc4 3. e4, should be the first line to learn and play as White

   Apr-18-05 Queen's Gambit Declined Semi-Slav (D45) (replies)

zorro: Why is 5...Bd6 never played instead of 5...Nbd7? Black could postpone Nbd7 in favour of 0-0, for instance, with 5...Bd6 and 6...0-0 aiming at normal main line but sidestepping among others 5...Nbd7 6. Qc2 Bd6 7. g4. But since this is never played I suspect there must be some problem. ...

   Apr-02-05 Vladimir Kramnik (replies)

zorro: OMG Let's hope this tourney in Sofia doesn't end up like Linares 04, one most boring tour of millenium. Frankly I dont think u can combat lazyness by simply not allowing the guy to talk. If he doesnt want to fight he will not, there are plenty of ways to kill a game other than draw ...
