Oct-20-20 Karpov vs Spassky, 1979 (replies)
cSete: While following this game in my patzer 1750 ELO head... I was thinking that Spassky was using a lot of resources to defend his IQP. In the meantime While Spassky was passive, Karpov was slowly maneuvering toward a win without too much worry. Just my simple thoughts.
   Jul-04-20 Karpov vs J Nogueiras, 1989
cSete: This game killed all MY illusions. Couldn't even approach the defence Karpov displayed. Wow...
May-24-20 Spassky vs Vasiukov, 1959 (replies)
cSete: 26. Qxb6. Not rocket science, but I wasn't looking at the entire board and overlooked. Easy to get sidetracked...
Mar-28-20 Geller vs Spassky, 1964 (replies)
cSete: A agree MohdSalah. Spassky looked to be on pretty thin ice before he abandoned his queen. Could have been quite uncomfortable for Boris.
Mar-18-20 Karpov vs Bareev, 1994 (replies)
cSete: tgyuid True......very true!
Feb-28-20 Karpov vs Timman, 1993 (replies)
cSete: <Woody Woodpusher> Tactically complex indeed! Back to the drawing board.......
   Feb-27-20 Karpov vs Hector, 1990
cSete: Had a few moves where I couldn't BUY a point, but recovered and scored a weakish 29. 24.Qc7 wasn't even on the radar...... I went for 24.Bc4+ also.
Feb-22-20 Karpov vs Mihajlo Stojanovic, 2007 (replies)
cSete: Will take some time to go through 4 pages of kibitzing (including YouTube video) All the excellent notations..... a chess lesson in itself. Thanks to all! One thing that really stood out to me was the play of Stojanovic. To me it seemed very passive....
Feb-14-20 Krasenkow vs Karpov, 2003 (replies)
cSete: SLOWLY improving at looking for counter play/best moves by the enemy camp. Bet the farm on 29...Qb2. "Look at the board". Easier said than done.......
   Dec-28-19 Karpov vs Yusupov, 1988
cSete: Karpov didn't stop after the beatdown. He took his lunch money too. Not one of Yusupov's better days. Brutal.....
