I have been playing chess for most of my life.Due to lack of competition and other factors,I never progressed beyond the novice level. I am however a big fan of the game and its history.

My favorite players are:Morphy,Lasker,Tal,Fischer,Kasparov,and Alekhine.

My favorite Chess movies are:Searching For Bobby Fischer AND Knight Moves. I also liked the Columbo episode that dealt with chess.(It was called:"The Most Dangerous Game"

My Favorite Movies are :GODFATHER ,The Fly,DEEP IMPACT,FIGHT CLUB, FINAL DESTINATION 3,and Friday the 13th Part VIII-Jason Takes Manhattan My favorite TV shows are CSI (all version),The SOPRANOS,FRASIER,SEINFELD,FAMILY GUY,and FRIENDS (ON DVD)

In Loving Memory of Seth Coy-9/7/1989 to 7/29/2009-he came early, left far too soon.

Jul-19-10  ahubers: Hey I follow this site a lot and just recently registered. Do you live in Iowa? I live on the west side of Iowa (will disclose the name of the small town I live in once further information is posted concluding that you are not a murderer, rapist, terrorist, or sociopath). I'd crap my pants if you lived in Iowa because I thought I was the only one in this remote state that played Chess daily.
Feb-24-11  theodor: <kevin86: Three punny quotes related to ears (and hearing)

1"Friends,Romans,countrymen- lend me your ears" : Julius Caesar

If you merge Hawkeyes and Buckeyes together you get a bunch of crossed eyes from OHIOWA.

On another thread we're trying to sort out definitions of Epaulettes mate, and origins of similar terms. You used a term "pseudo-epaulettes" here: A Planinc vs K Hulak, 1977 ...

If you have any references or further understanding would you mind sharing some of your information here: Topalov vs Karpov, 1998
