Interesting. Seems the rural/urban divide is present in other societies, not just the US.

Here in the States, back in the day, we called it "Country and Western". (Like everything, that got shortened - in this case, to just "Country".)

In general, and it is only valid as a generalization, Country music is more popular with folks in the Old South, rural areas and western states, than on the East and Left coasts and in big cities.

  thegoodanarchist: Hey <morfishine>,

I just answered both of your e-mails.

I can't believe I forgot to log into my personal e-mail for three days in a row, but work was a little crazy this week.

That's my excuse, and I'm stickin' to it.

morfishine: Referencing the Single Bullet Theory (SBT) or "Magic Bullet Theory" and how this theory has been refuted, rests on two arguments: (1) 10 6.5mm bullets were fired through goat bones and goat ribs. All came out severely deformed. Note, the supposed "magic bullet" damaged not one, but two of Connally's bones: A 5-inch section of a rib was blasted and his wrist bone suffered severe injury due to a bullet impact. Yet, the bullet was intact in near 'pristine' condition. Thats just not possible

(2) The second argument lays to rest the SBT once and for all: During his operation, there was a lot of lead fragments removed from Connally's back and wrist. Also, there was a considerable amount of lead left inside Connally that was X-rayed for the rest of his life. This total amount of lead removed and left inside Connally far exceeds the amount of lead missing from Commission exhibit 399.

Conclusion: Exhibit 399 is dismissed as causing Connally's wounds, and by the simplest of reasons: Its just not possible

With this dismissal, the SBT is also dismissed; and with the refutation of the SBT, the lone gunman theory also goes out the window

This is actually one of the easier Warren Commission contentions to dismiss; but after all, it was only a theory

Magnus Carlsen has goat bones. [G.O.A.T. bones]

morfishine: Pondering on Posner Part I
If Posnerís theory is right, this then refutes the lone gunman theory, since we have too many shots

Remember, the maximum # shots fired by Oswald is 3, so anything over 3 means a second gunman

So, lets count the shots

Shot 1: Posnerís unverified curb strike, that for arguments sake, we believe

Shot 2: Verified curb strike very near Tague down near Triple Underpass

Shot 3: Zapruder film shows JFK waving at the crowd before disappearing behind the Stemmons freeway sign. When the limo emerges from behind the sign, Kennedy is hit in the throat and grasping at his neck

Shot 4: Head shot

Thatís four shots

thegoodanarchist: Day 2 of my water fast. Since I am adapted to fasting, I haven't gotten extremely hungry. Mostly, I want a cup o' Java
Apr-22-20
Premium Chessgames Member
morfishine: Great <thegoodanarchist>! How long will your water fast go on? I don't think you'll get too hungry. I think with your high protein, veggies and fruits daily diet (zero carbs), your intake volume is below average too, which is great for one's body, so I don't see a traumatic impact on going just water for awhile, but I may be wrong on that, you are the expert

I imagine its those people who've become accustomed to large volume intake that suffer the most when cutting back

Speaking of java, I love coffee and have been grinding my own beans for three years now. The difference in freshness and flavor is astonishing. True its a little extra work, but its worth it, so for me its whole bean all the way

*A good quality grinder from Krupp at Wal Mart is only $18.00 or so. Avoid the Hamilton Beach grinder, cheaply made and fails soon

thegoodanarchist: <morf> thanks for the tip on coffee grinders.

I used to grind my own, but then I had to self-pay for a relocation at some point. I gave away most of my stuff to some charity thrift shop (Goodwill?), and one of the items was my coffee bean grinder.

And I never got back into it. But with your Krupp recommendation, I might start again.

I'm guessing Hamilton Beach outsourced their manufacturing to China at some point, which is why the quality is no good.

thegoodanarchist: <morfishine: Great <thegoodanarchist>! How long will your water fast go on? >

Depends on how quickly I get the results I want.

On hunger: It depends on dietary habits, as you surmised. For folks who haven't fasted recently, who get 3+ meals a day, hunger in the first few days can be brutal.

Same for carb eaters - they are not 'fat adapted' and suffer greatly the first 3 days.

But no matter how much/little experience a person has with fasting, eventually the body will adapt to fat burning and the hunger will go away.

People love to share their fasting experiments on line. From what I've read, carb eaters take 2 or 3 days to get into ketosis.

I am in ketosis every morning, so day 1 was easy - I had no hunger after 1 PM.

Day 2 I had a few hunger pangs, but mostly my 'hunger' was mental (thinking of food).

I'm in day 3 today, and I want to go at least 5 days, maybe as many as 10 days. Will just see how it goes.

thegoodanarchist: I actually caved in to temptation this morning and had 1 mug of coffee, with 1/2 tsp. of coconut oil.

I instantly regretted it after 1 sip, because I could feel my digestive system kick into action (and maybe interrupted autophagy).

Plus, all the plant matter (either coffee plant or coconut plant) made me sneeze. Probably my body telling me that these substances are not as benign as meat

morfishine: Fascinating, I meant to ask you is this fast mainly for cleansing? I didn't think you were looking to lose weight

Today all I've eaten is 3 organic eggs, sunny side up, cooked in organic butter, and I feel great

thegoodanarchist: Hey <morf>, your breakfast sounds delicious.

To answer your question, my current fast is for health reasons.

Fasting is linked to prevention of various "Western" (i.e., non-infectious) diseases, including cancer. My father and his father both died of lung cancer, & my father's brother was treated for lung cancer by having part of his right lung removed.

Also, the reports of improvement of skin conditions by people who fast are ubiquitous.

Yet another benefit is strengthening the immune system against viral infections.

A couple of months ago I visited some family and stayed in their guest bedroom, which must also have several spiders taking advantage of the accommodations!

I know this because I got about 20+ spider bites on me, over the course of the week. And they have been slow to heal, so I am thinking maybe Brown Recluse or Wolf Spiders.

Thus, I am trying to do 3 things: clear my spider bites, prevent cancer, and boost my viral immune system against COVID-19.

thegoodanarchist: In reply to your note in my forum, my Aunt said that her and my uncle's lifestyle has barely changed!

Personally, can't wait for the gym to reopen.

Glad you are adapting to low-carb. Anyone can, with perseverance. Just a question of will.

thegoodanarchist: Here in Idaho we have "Snake River Farms" gourmet hamburger.

It's 25% protein calories and 75% fat calories. I wish it were grass-fed beef, but I can't find anything with more fat than the 80/20 (by weight)

Anyway, I had a burger + scrambled eggs with Parmesan cheese today. Delicious! One of the rare days I didn't fast until 12:30

morfishine: <thegoodanarchist> Man, that sounds good! What about Colorado steaks, or Omaha steaks? They deliver and you're right next door. They send the steak packages in styrofoam containers with 'dry ice' packets inside that keeps the meat frozen. They're great! BTW: I thought you were near Albany, NY? Idaho is beautiful though. Did you ever get over to the Little Big Horn battlefield? Thats relatively close to you

thegoodanarchist: <BTW: I thought you were near Albany, NY?>

You are right, my friend! I <was> near Albany, NY. Both in grad school and when I started this job.

Fortunately, I got to relocate a year and a half ago, to God's country.

<Idaho is beautiful though. Did you ever get over to the Little Big Horn battlefield? Thats relatively close to you>

No, I totally forgot, even though I was a nut about studying Custer's last stand as a child.

Thank you sir, for the suggestion! I am going to visit it when everything reopens!

morfishine: Well, its relatively close, I asked how far Idaho was from the Little Big horn, and from Stanley, Id, its 568 miles, so its at least a days drive. But thats much better than from Orlando, Fl: thats 2,227 miles!

Beautiful country!
