But I love the same positions as Black:

...because I have nothing to lose!
We don't give a toss as Black. |

May-27-20 | | morfishine: < offramp> This is the perfect comment: <...because I have nothing to lose! We don't give a toss as Black.>
Wonderful stuff! |
|
Jul-17-20 | | Tonymec: Not only the opponent is overwhelmingly cramped, (s)he is already two tempi behind (one pawn move against 4, two minor piece moves on both sides, but "we" haven't yet castled, which should happen once our KN moves into play). Hard to imagine how such a position could happen in real play (apparently one of the opponent's knights went "there and back" for nothing) but then you don't always know in advance what the opponent is up to. — Oh, whose move is it? |

Seriously I am a bit stuck here, Offi have you ever heard the term 'Wurzel' describing South West England folks? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloss... I'm asking as a sincere Eric
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_... PS: Post more R-rated stuff. No joke.
|
|
Oct-24-20
 | | Tiggler: <login> without referring to wiki, my opinion is that this must refer to a root crop called a mangelwurzel. In popular children's stories there was a character named Wurzel Gummage: a scarecrow whose head was presumably carved from a mangelwurzel. I am not familiar with the use of <Wurzel> as a west country yokel, but that seems like the logical etymology. |
