Been playing chess off and on since age 7 (equates to over 30 years). Still recall the first two games ever playing. While watching my older brother and older cousin playing (they were 14-15 at the time). I just blurted out "I can beat you." Well first game I lost and the second game I won. My cousin never played me since.

Been labeled as an inconsistent player... Best player I have beaten to date is probably 2000 elo... Been beaten by an 1100 elo player also. Going to be entering in Tournys again soon. End games is where I'm the weakest at.

Here is my game of the month - Judit does a triple pawn gambit!

sibilare: In regards to Fruit, Hiarcs and Hydra being a no show. It might be because the programmer was booked for that week or something. I don't really recall Hiarcs being in a WCC Tourny. As with the bottom four rated programs. Maybe they are amatuer programmers. Since they are allowed ...

   Oct-08-05 D Byrne vs Fischer, 1956 (replies)

sibilare: D. Byrne was the 54, 55 US champion and a couple years earlier beat the Russian national champion in a four game match three wins one lost. Don't know much about Juan Corzo, but, I'm sure he must have been a good player to be a national champion.

Oct-03-05 Polgar vs Topalov, 2005 (replies)

sibilare: According to Chessgames.com Judit Polgar has a winning record with white against Topolav, 4 wins 3 losses 3 draws. Compare that to Topolav he is 6 wins 2 losses four draws with white against Judit Polgar. I think Topolav will still take it...

sibilare: < Ray Keene > Just wanted to know your stance on Fischer Random Chess (Chess 960) being used for tie breaks in Invitational Tournaments. For example the Mtel Masters. Personally, I think it'll add a new twist on the tournament.

   Aug-17-05 Capablanca vs J Corzo, 1901 (replies)

sibilare: It looked kinda drawish with the pawns being kinda of a mirror image and bishops of the opposite colour. Tried Hiarcs 9.6 and Fruit 2.1 set to 45 mins a side. Forced white to play 17. Nf3 and both engines came up with a draw.

   Aug-04-05 C von Holstein-Rathlau vs H Kongsted, 2001 (replies)

sibilare: Got it.... But what a drag for white... Seeing that he has three pieces just covering all the squares around the black king.... White was one move behind!
