Oct-21-23  Nosnibor: Played Adam once at the Birmingham Open 1995 when he was just 14 years of age. The game was drawn after 49 moves. This was a qualifying event for the British Championship and although I made it with 3 wins and this draw from the last four rounds Adam just failed to make the cut. Happy 43rd birthday I.M.   Chessical: Very sad news from ECF website.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of IM Adam Hunt. Adam was an International Master with two GM norms. A FIDE trainer, Adam spent over 20 years at Woodbridge School as Head of Chess, and more recently Examinations Officer. He also coached the England Junior team at many international events including the World Junior Championships.

Adam was the author of Chess Strategy: Move by Move, and commentated at several British Chess Championships alongside GM Danny Gormally.

Dec-04-24  stone free or die: His sister, Harriet, provided this notice on <ECF>

<With great sadness I have to share the news that my wonderful brother Adam died peacefully earlier today, after a 9 year battle with cancer. He was 44 years old.

As a family we are all devastated by his loss, especially his wife and their young son.

I will post a longer tribute to Adam’s playing achievements and teaching career in due course. In the meantime we would love to hear any memories of Adam that people wish to share, either publicly here or privately by messaging me.>
