Feb-06-08  whiteshark: Player of the Day

Became a GM in 1995, but retired from chess in 1998. It looks as if he is working as an economist for the Bank of Portugal.

eternaloptimist: He played against the Sicilian well w/ the white pieces. There are 4 games he won w/ white (against the Sicilian) in the chessgames.com database in case anyone is interested (4 wins & only 1 loss). It might help someone to improve by studying these games! Also, if you are interested in economics, labor &/or finance, you should check out his website.
