GrahamClayton: <kwi>She finally gets her rating above 2500 (2500.7 to be exact). Congrats to our new GM!

<kwi>,
Zhukova has achieved 7 GM norms, so it is great that she has reached 2500 and "officially" become a WGM.

Sep-02-11  Jeffsteeven: Did Zhukova had a 2711 ELO FIDE? Is that true?
Sep-02-11  SimonWebbsTiger: @<jeffsteven>

FIDE have a page, you know. ;o)

Sep-27-11  waustad: I suspect that the 2700+ is in error. Perhaps the same last name?
Nov-15-12  waustad: She eliminated Humpy Koneru from this years WWCC.

Mar-24-14  jakaiden: <RedShield: Was it about her that first caught Sasha Grischuk's attention? > Maybe it was her beautiful smile, I mean frown. I met her a few years ago in Mainz. She never smiled the whole tournament. Just that grimace look on her face.
Aug-02-14  jakaiden: Zhukova is wearing her favorite smile.

perfidious: Still a clearly more attractive photo than that gracing this page.

Zhukova has nothing on someone I had the misfortune of knowing long ago--this female could have been appealing but for the constant expression of disdain at best, while at worst she looked as though she had sucked on a lemon.

May-29-15  Maatalkko: Shame on Zhukova. She drafted and circulated two petitions containing unsubstantiated cheating allegations against Mihaela Sandhu, to whom she had lost in the 2012 European Championships, directly before her Round 8 game against Sandu. The only "evidence" against Sandu is that she was having an excellent tournament.

Even if Zhukova was legitimately concerned by the possibility of cheating, this was not a fair or sporting method of addressing those concerns.

This brings to mind Mamedyarov's arrogant attack on the late Igor Kurnosov; however, Zhukova's action was worse, as it was a preemptive strike before the game was even played.

May-29-15  cro777: WGM Sandu: "Also I want to mention Zhukova's paltry behavior is standing out as she was the main benefactor of the defamation campaign"
May-31-15  gazzawhite: What a disgrace.
