Aug-16-09  notyetagm: What a tournament for Mamedyarov!

Ordix Open (2009)/Shakhriyar Mamedyarov

10(!)/11: +9 =2 -0 !!!

Aug-17-09  timhortons: naka almost got it!

but anyways cheers to the champion GM mamed.

what happened to grischuk? its grischuk who wants 2 crown in mainz.

IM noritsyn of canada told me at icc, nobody go home with two crown in mainz.

naka joined ordix un announced, its actually grischuk who after winning finet said he wants also the ordix.

thanks to xtal at icc for covering live the round 9 of naka mamed after much urging of members.

playchess.com actually cover round 1 to 6, if you replay nakas game here hes almost at the lossing end from round 4, 5 and 6 but just end up winning 1 game to another.

icc has no coverage of early rounds .

i was surprised he reach round 9 with mamed, naka blundered his game against mamed and thats it, mamed take home the prize, if im right the round 10 game of mamed is draw.

i remember x tal at icc kibitz that if naka loss here mamed next game will be draw, it proves right.

Aug-17-09  timhortons: with the presence of grischuk, navarra, bacrot, moiseenkoo, kamsky it just need a little luck to win these tournament, much more to almost win it.
Nov-30-09  notyetagm: Shark smoked the Ordix and now he is smoking at the World Cup.

The end of V Laznicka vs Mamedyarov, 2009 is gorgeous.
