Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-29-13  jerseybob: Trifunovich, in the August 1965 CR, recommends 13.cd, with advantage to white. And, says Dr.T., Gligorich's 16th and 17th moves were also second-best. Gligorich's first-ever loss to Ivkov.
Mar-25-15  zydeco: <jerseybob> Gligoric's 16th move looks pretty forced. Black is threatening 16....Qg5+ and 17....Qg2#, and something like 16.Bf1 loses to 16....Qg5+ 17.Kh1 Nxf2#.

There might some defense around move 20. Maybe Bd1 on either move 20 or 21 to protect f3 and g4.

Jan-30-18  alfamikewhiskey: <Gligorich's first-ever loss to Ivkov.> Yes - from the article on Ivkov at Wikipedia: "It took Ivkov nearly 20 years to defeat Gligoric, the top Yugoslav post-war player." Interesting game to flick through.
