May-23-07  lentil: ivkov tried too hard to win. result is as expected.
May-23-07  mack: Suttles' play really is chess beauty personified. It's just so *natural*. It's very antagonistic, too, and as you say, his opponents often over-push in search of a refutation of his 'wacky' play. 49...Qf7 is a bit crap, isn't it.

Jonathan Sarfati: Black had the better of a draw almost any time he wanted, with ♕ + ♘ v ♕ + bad ♗. E.g. if 49... ♔h7, White has nothing better than taking perpetual check.

Jonathan Sarfati: Stockfish 8 recommends a Q raid on the white Q-side with 28... Qe2, assessing the position at around -2. But it assesses the optically good QN v QB endgame as 0. Black's final chance to stay in the game was 53... Qb3, threatening mate, and forcing White to give perpetual check.
