FSR: This must have been most annoying for White. Black falls into a famous trap, but wins anyway! Honestly I'm not sure where White could have improved. Certainly not 14.0-0? Qxg3, and 14.Qb7 runs into 14...Ng4! 15.Rf1 Nxf2. Maybe the rook grab, which stems from Lasker vs H Mueller, 1934, just isn't that good?

Perhaps White should just play the "old move" 9.Bc4! stemming from another Lasker game, Lasker vs Radsheer, 1908. Then after the forced 9...e6 10.Qe2!, Black has to play something like 10...Qe7, leaving himself with a horrid position. Usually Black is so shell-shocked by this point that he blunders and loses immediately after, e.g. 10...Bg7? 11.Nxf7! Lasker-Radsheer or 10...Nf6? 11.Nxf7! Alekhine vs R Bruce, 1938.
