Oct-24-10  rapidcitychess: Very pretty. What seems to be viscous attack is swept away.
Oct-24-10  ounos: Wow, black was desperate before the game even started.
Jul-04-18  paavoh: 6.- g5? A novelty, never to be tested again.

Sally Simpson: We might see 5....g5 again as a drawing trick to avoid the 30 move rule.

Given Black's morbid fixation with the f2 square in the actual I assume this was the intended follow up.

11. h3 Qf2+

And White has to allow the perpetual with 12.Kd2 Qe3+ 13.Ke1 Qf2+ etc... due to Knight forks on e3 or f2.

Jul-05-18  paavoh: Yes <Sally>, it should draw after 7.Bxg5 but what about 7.Bd6? A pesky move, IMO.

7.Bd6 Bxd6 looks OK for Black.

My line with Bxg5 was just to show a perpetual is all Black had if White takes the pawn.

Jul-06-18  paavoh: Oh bummer, I had misplaced the Queen on d1, ergo Bd6 ... just scrap my message.
