Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-03-03  Rookpawn: The resignation appears premature to me. Black could have tried 7... Qe7. Though this would lose at least a pawn and also exposes the king, Black could have some hope for a draw.
Jun-03-03  Ken MacGillivray: After 7... Qe7 8 Qxb7 the rook on a8 will fall
Jun-04-03  Rookpawn: 8. Qxb7 Qc6. Now White can shatter Black's king's security with 9. Qc8+, but I don't think that this provides a "winning" advantage.
Jun-04-03  StevieW: Rookpawn,

Do you mean qd7 rather than qe7?

If so after qc6 white may prefer Bb5.
