plang: The line with 9 Qh5 has scored very poorly for Black. In one of the quickplay playoff games in the finals of the 1997 Russian Championship Svidler had played 20 g4 against Bareev and had gone on to win; 20 Nxh5! was new and was voted the 3rd best opening innovation in Informant 88. White's attack was very difficult to defend against: ie. 21..Ne7 22 Rxh6..Kg7 23 0-0-0..Rh8 24 Rdh1..Rxh6 25 Rxh6..Qf7 26 Rf6.
