Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-23-05  halcyonteam: Traps in the Grob. This is a master of Grob..!!
Sep-23-05  RookFile: Typical example of how a sharp opening can destroy the position of somebody not familiar with the opening, who is attempting to play based on general principles.
Sep-23-05  ughaibu: Looks to me more like a typical example of one side playing complete crap.
Jan-08-09  TheTamale: This is like Alekhine's Defense with the Grob. I submitted a game with this opening to Larry Evans once way back... He published my letter but not the game.
Jan-08-09  refutor: an improvement is 2. ...Ng8!? just ask agentrgent :)
Jan-08-09  Granny O Doul: ughaibu nailed it. Nothing to do with traps; just extremely weak (and unprincipled) play.

  louispaulsen88888888: 2...Kt-R4!? seems best.
Jun-24-20  Ziryab: Bloodgood’s Grob was a real killer. This game is a good illustration of the hypermodern principles of letting your opponent create a pawn center that you can destroy.
