Kibitzer's Corner
May-05-10  Cushion: Evans neglects development and his king gets slaughtered in the center.
May-06-10  Peter Nemenyi: In the final position, if 25...f6, 26. Bc5+! Kf7 (Qxc5 27. Qd7++) 27. Rd7+ Qxd7 (K moves allow simple mates) 28. Qxd7+.

More attractive is 25...Ke8 26. Qc5+ Ke7 27. g4! f6 28. Bc5+ Kf7 29. Rd7+, when Black has to surrender his queen with 29...Qxd7 30. Qxd7+ or send his king on the death march 29...Kg6 30. Qe8+ Kg5 (Kh6 31. Qh5++) 31. Qh5+ Kf4 32. Qf5++. The patient 27 g4, setting up the mates, is something of a computer move and I wonder whether the competitors saw it.

Dec-21-12  Eduardo Bermudez: Julio Bolcbochan: the truly first argentinian Grandmaster !!
