WannaBe: I wonder if the 'Nut Cracker' was written before, or after this game was played. :-)

woldsmandriffield: Difficult ending. The pawn d-pawn advanced prematurely (67 d5?). A better plan was to bring the King all the way around the pawn into the attack, at the same time looking out for opportunities to get the Queen to a square that disrupts Black's coordination and keeping an eye out for an opportune moment to play d5.

An example line.

67 Qd6 Kg7 68 Qe6 Kh7 69 Kd2 Kg7 (if the Rook wanders off guard duty eg 69..Rf3, then go 70 d5!) 70 Qe5+ Kh7 71 Kc3 Bf5 72 Qg3! (difficult move to find) 72..Bg6 73 Kb4 Kg7 74 Kc5 Kh7 75 Kd6 Bf5 77 Ke5 Bd7 78 Qg5!

GrahamClayton: Jozsef Pinter's '1000 Queen Endings' has an analysis variation with 67. Qd5 that results in White achieving a winning position after 160. Kd7 - I'm not going to reproduce all 93 moves :-)
