Jun-01-06   Mendrys: Ouch, this had to hurt. 2nd major blunder by Aleksandrov in this Olympiad. See Kramnik vs Aleksandrov, 2006, 2006 for the other one against Kramnik. I think that white had good changes until....

Jun-01-06   aw1988: He was studying the games of the FIDE world championship of 2004 on audio cassette before the Olympiad. Unfortunately, in round 2, his tape suffered a technical problem and kept skipping; it was Short's game against Krasenkow.
