GrahamClayton: Apparently Greet played the Centre Game for 2 reasons:

a) Georgiev, a noted 1...e5 player, had never faced the Centre Game: b) Greet had researched the Centre Game for the book "Dangerous Weapons: 1. e4 e5" that he had co-authored with John Emms and Glenn Flear.

Source: Andrew Greet, "Hastings 2007/08", "CHESS", March 2008.

Me too! It's good isn' it? Personally, I like playing the Center Game whenever I can. It's a very strong opening and can still be improved alot. The game itself is very instructive in showing what the attacking chances of white look like for a long time. However, the move . ... ♗xc3 is sub-optimal.
