Ron: Shulman plays 15 ... Nfd5! sacrificing his knight; by the end of move 20, Shulman not only has regained the material sacrificed but winds up with a pawn advantage.
Jul-06-08  nezhmet: What a terrible waste of a novelty. 8. Nbd2! is exceedingly strong and black's pawn grab should have been punished severely.

Black's Queen is hopelessly offside after the obvious 15. Rb3 and white has a huge attack. After 15. Qc3?? this is the only way to let black escape.

Jul-06-08  ToTheDeath: It's always discouraging to lose from a terrific position, of course a player of Shulman's caliber takes every opportunity he gets. Hope it works out better for you next time.

louispaulsen88888888: 12.Bc7 looks unnatural. I think an advantage could be maintained by castling.

louispaulsen88888888: If 15. Rb3!?, I don’t see a “huge attack”. I wonder what Mark Ginsburg had in mind. Black could finish developing with 15...Bd7 or get the Bishop out of his face with 15...Ne8.
