Oct-20-08  sneaky pete: Bachmann gives 3 move moves: 30... Ke8 31.Rxc7 Kf8 32.Rf1+ Kg8 33.Bc4+ .. and states the game is from a 6 board blind simul by Steinitz executed in Oxford, May 17, 1870.
Jul-19-12  Xeroxx: Thank You Mr. Churchill.
Dec-12-12  waustad: I've read that Winston Churchill was an avid player. Have any of his games survived?
Jul-29-20  teressa74: @waustad have you ever received a response? my dad just gave me an antique checker/backgammon board and the story he was told was that the person who made it only made 2 in the world. One was given to Winston Churchill and the other to one of my great(however many greats)-grandfather. I would love to find out info and try to restore it as it is in rough shape. Even if the story is false lol.
