Dec-07-08  luzhin: White's 17.Bxh7+ should have resulted in no more than a draw by perpetual check; but 25.Qxf4! was cunning: Black could play 25...Rf8!, which would force White to take the perpetual starting with 26.Qg5+, but instead he blundered with 25.Qe7??, after which he is dead lost.
Dec-07-08  beenthere240: White shows a good positional style here. Perhaps he should brush up on his tactics and get a bit more aggressive.
Dec-07-08  whiteshark: This ♘e5 is worth its weight in gold!

al wazir: After 20. Nxg6 black has no defense.

If 20...Kf7, then 21. Ne5+ Ke7 (21...Kf6 22. Qg5#) 22. Rxg7+ Kd6 23. Nf7+ Rxf7 24. Qxf7, with threats against ♔, ♖, and ♗. If, e.g., 20...Rxf2, then 21. Qh8+, followed by 21. Qxg7+, etc.

Dec-11-08  luzhin: Al Wazir, after 20.Nxg6? Rxf2 21.Qh8+ Kf7 22.Qxg7+??? Black will play Kxg7, which is a very adequate defense.
