Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-08-10  DarthStapler: Nice endgame by our player of the day
Aug-02-12  Llawdogg: Very nice knight trap.

FSR: Astonishing endgame. Who would have believed that rook and bishop (no pawns) could beat rook and knight?
Feb-12-18  wtpy: Reading a description on another thread sounded worse than it was. White gives up the b pawn to win the exchange leaving him rook vs knight, which is under normal circumstances a draw, but the knight's squares are circumscribed and it gets trapped. Nice finish by Arkell.

In addition to 83.Rh8, which completely immobilizes the knight and induces resignation, White can win with 83.Rh7 Ne8 84.Re7 Nd6 85.Rc7+. In <100 Endgames You Must Know> Jesus de la Villa refers to g7 (or its equivalent in other corners) as the "dumb square" for the knight.
