HeMateMe: Humpy got waay over extended in her attack here. I guess once she got into it, there was no way to back out.
Feb-23-11  4tmac: Amazing, how quickly white's position fell apart after the thirtysecond. The King has his horse by his side.
Feb-23-11  haydn20: 32. hg indeed looks like a blunder. How about Rxf5 keeping up some pressure?
Feb-23-11  DAVI DE RAFE: aadhym njan vijarichu, queen exchange cheythal engine vella jayikkum, pinneya arinjathu, vellayalla, karuppa, jayichathennu. pottanaaa....pottan.
Mar-06-11  thickhead: < haydn20: 32. hg indeed looks like a blunder. How about Rxf5 keeping up some pressure? > 32 Rxf5 looks attractive as it also threatens Rxc5. In addition it is amazing to see how Nana used psychology. She was desperate to divert Humpy from attcking. She spoiled her pawn structure by 27... bxc4 since she was sure Humpy would not play 28 Qxc4 Rd1+ 29 Rf1 which may lead to exchange of rooks and reduce the vigourousness of attack. But I feel that was the right way for Humpy as the only thing black has, the control of d file would have ended. The reluctance of humpy to do so resulted in black's such ruthless control of d file even she could sacrifice exchange which white would not dare to take.As a matter of fact Humpy wanted to take on c4 but after securing d1 by Bc2 but she could not get the time. So big question mark comes on 27 Rf3 without whick black's tactics would not have worked.
Mar-06-11  Atking: Maybe 21.Qg4 was more in the spirit of the previous moves. If 21...BxNe4 22.BxBe4 Nf8 23.Bc3 & 24.Bc2 then e4-f5 eventually h4
Mar-12-11  ReikiMaster: Yes, 27.Bc2 bxc4 28.Rb1 looks good.
