Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-14-16  Howard: For those of us who don't have access to an engine (yet), where was this "computer-like" win on Move 25 which Giri apparently missed ?
Feb-14-16  MuzioFan: <25..a3> is the move. White can choose between <26.Rxa3 Rxa3 27.bxa3 Bh3 28.Bg2 (28.Re1? Qf7 wins the Bf3 after Bxd2) Bxg2 29.Kxg2 Bxd2 30.Bxd2 Qxc4>:

and <26.bxa3 Na4 27.Rb3 Nc5 28.Rc3 (here the engine actually prefers to sacrifice the exchange with <28.Ne4 Bxe4 29.Bxg5 Nxb3> or <28.Bg2>) Qa5 29.Rc2 Rf6>:

where black can pick up the exchange, but can gain even more from the strong kingside attack.

Feb-17-16  Ayaend: Very interresting on move 25 from Black ...a3! Thank MuzioFan and Howard.
