Apr-10-24  Atking: Again it is not about a superior opening prep, just keeping good play and finally... 1-0 Sure with comp one can see that Queens ending was draw but... smile.
Apr-10-24  cormier: depth=34 | Stockfish 16
0.00 21... Qxf5 22. Re1 Nc4 23. Re7 Rf7 24. Rxf7 Qxf7 25. Ne5 Nxe5 +0.84 21... Nxf5 22. Re6 Qd8
Apr-10-24  Atking: <cormier> Right, the game is still in the draw zone until move 83...Qf1+? but White was fighting for mostly 2 results 1-0 or 1/2 during these last moves 20 moves playing under the minute with increment. Indeed playing the board not the clock here has paid! Smile.
Apr-10-24  goodevans: Gukesh missed an earlier win with 46.Qxc6 Rxg2+ 47.Kf1!

Quite complicated though since 47...Rh2 ties White's Q to the defence of h1 except when giving check.

Apr-11-24  Saniyat24: 48.Nf6+...!

pcalugaru: Gukesh this Candidates is playing with excellent fortitude and patience. I agree on it's not about superior opening prep.
