Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-01-22  Alan McGowan: He won the IX International cc tournament organised by the Deutsche Schachzeitung with a score of 17 from 19 games. (DSZ 1940, p49.)
Jan-01-22  ndg2: Obviously, this guy isn't 115 years old, but I couldn't find anything regarding his date of death.
Jan-01-22  ndg2: Apparently, he was a mathematician by profession and must have lived in the state of Baden-Württemberg in the city of Heidenheim (at least for a considerable time).

In 1960 he and another guy applied for an U.S. patent for an interferometer (https://patentimages.storage.google...).

Feb-08-22  whiteshark: In 1948 he played in <Esslingen>*, which is some 72 km away from Heidenheim. He finished 6th with 4.5/9 http://altweb.schachbund.net/chroni... (The pgn contains only 9 games, none of Habermann)

* Back then the Esslingen chess club was the biggest in that area, with 102 members, whereof 25 Latvians, most notably Elmars Zemgalis (source: https://www.sv-dicker-turm-esslinge...)
