Stonehenge: The ultimate anecdote in this regard occurred in 1989 when Thomas Ellison, former PDF created with pdfFactory trial version www.pdffactory.com Cleveland Plain Dealer chess editor, recently returned to competition after a many year absence, broke his leg in an accident at home. As he was taken off to the hospital Tom’s wife reported that the most important thing on his mind, almost the only thing, was to make sure that his Parma Survivor teammates would be informed that he would be unable to attend that evening’s chess match! Sadly, Tommy did not survive the operation later that day. He was a consummate team player to the end.
