Wilno Chess society was founded on May 8th 1932. Natan Judelewicz was one of the founders. He was an active member and in 1935 was elected vice-president of the society.

Nathan was born in Wilno in 1912, was married, worked as a math teacher in school. After German occupation in 1941 Natan Judelewicz was in Wilno Ghetto. Judelewicz escaped from the ghetto and, together with his sister and her daughter, was hiding as a Catholic with Polish surname in the town Lida. In 1944 the people who knew him reported about him to the Germans. Together with him, the Germans arrested his sister with here daughter and shot them all.
