Hainan Danzhou GM (2018)

The 9th edition of the Danzhou Super Grandmaster Tournament took place from 27 July to 3 August 2018 in Danzhou on the South China Sea island province of Hainan. This year the 8-player round-robin featured five international grandmasters as well as some top Chinese players. The total prize fund was $60,000, with 20,000 for 1st place. Players had 90 minutes for 40 moves then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. (1) Tournament director: Tian Hongwei. Chief arbiter: Wang Tianyu.
