Apr-11-08  Octavia: thanks for the links - i couldn't find it anywhere else. After Mickey's dismal affair with the comp, he's getting back to winning again!
Apr-11-08  Method B: who else would be in charge at the ruy lopez chess festival than mickey adams?

(please note there is no joke with names like hou in this post)

Apr-11-08  Knight13: yeeeaaah adams!!!
Apr-11-08  fromoort: A C64 game from Adams!
Apr-12-08  brankat: Is the tournament over now, or is it a double round robin?
Apr-12-08  kasp: <brankat> The tournament is over.Adams won with 5.5/7
Apr-12-08  laserlight: Very disappointing for Hou Yifan, considering that this comes right after her victory in Turkey. She was expected to score 2.5 to 3 points, but only scored 2 points for a performance rating of 2461.
Apr-12-08  percyblakeney: Caruana can't be too happy either, after losing his last three games, while Koneru did well and went +3 in the last 5 rounds.
Apr-12-08  didrayer: Please, it's not Mérdia, but Mérida. Thanks.
Apr-12-08  DarthStapler: Good performance for Adams so far
Apr-12-08  Ipecac: <didrayer: Please, it's not Mérdia, but Mérida. Thanks.>

Also, "Mierda" is the colloquial for "excrement" in Spanish, so I really suggest a change.

Apr-12-08  weisyschwarz: I think you-know-Hou could use a little vacation.
Apr-13-08  wolfmaster: <weisyschwarz> Yeah, maybe she could go to Disney world and meet Mickey Mouse.
Apr-13-08  positionalgenius: Adams is flying through this tournament and has played some good games...

WannaBe: I'm still wondering why this festival didn't invite Ruy Lopez himself!! Probably too busy reading the Bible, practicing Gregorian Chants, and making wine!
Apr-14-08  brankat: <WannaBe> Ruy would not be making wine in April. He is drinking it now.

WannaBe: Ah.... that explains it. Ruy is a wuss! =)
Apr-14-08  pawnofdoom: Strange how no one scored between 2.5 and 4.5. No one got a +1 or a -1 score, nor a 50% score.
Apr-14-08  DarthStapler: Does everyone have to play the Ruy Lopez in this tournament?
