Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-13-13  achieve: Spoelman en Rendierman!

Great tournament for Robin van Kampen. Next time he'll win this.

Jul-13-13  waustad: The result of Zhaoqin Peng in the women's section is a surprise. She won 11 consecutive titles and this time just came out 3.5/7 (+3 -3 =1). Dutch Championship (Women) (2013) Nice win by Lisa Schut winning by 2 full points.
Jul-13-13  kingfu: Where is Timman?
Jul-13-13  waustad: He's a 9 time champion in his 60s. The last Dutch championship he played in (going by the games here, which are often incomplete) was in 2006.
Jul-15-13  achieve: The championships this year were held in Amsterdam, which is also where Timman since long resides, so Jan may have been there as a guest or analyst at some point, but I wouldn't be able to confirm. Fact is that since Giri started participating and winning, Timman hasn't been participating. I'd hope and expect, though, that Timman will sit at the board in a future edition of the 'NK'.
Jul-07-14  bystander: In 2013 Wouter Spoelman almost won the Dutch Championship. He was one of the lowest rated players and become second after losing two blitz-games against Reinderman. Good start in de 2014 Championship as well. Leading after two rounds with two points (wins against L'Ami and Reinderman)
