<<EY Takes a Stand for Gender Equality as Norway Chess Sponsor
21.5.2025
As a proud sponsor of Norway Chess, EY is actively engaged in promoting gender equality in the world of chess. In connection with this year’s tournament, Arbab Dar, Country Managing Partner at EY Norway, shares his reflections on why <supporting women in chess is essential> – and how the business world can help drive change. Checkmate to Gender Inequality?...> > <This year, for the second time, Norway Chess is hosting a women’s tournament with a <prize fund equal to that of the open tournament.> EY is sponsoring the prize fund for the women’s tournament.> <‘There is a queen on every board – let’s add more to the game.’ We’re proud to continue that mission,” Dar concludes.>🤮🤮 |

 | | MissScarlett: <Norway Chess (Women)> Do women belong in brackets?
The official site styles itself <Norway Chess Women's Tournament> which scans better than <Norway Chess (Women) Tournament> but <Norway Chess Women> on its own seems rather bare. <Norway Women's Chess> or <Women's Norway Chess> also risk offence. |

<So lets see, now, I got 1 share for being 1 person, 1 share for going down the hill, 1 share for the truck, and 1 share for being a person in the truck, but no matter how you figure it out, I still don't get as much as anybody else!
<Let me explain once more. Them, their group, they, those 3, they get $112,000. Those over there, them, they get $97,000. We, we, us they get $84,000. And you, by yourself, you get $56,000, alone, and that's tax free money.>>That's how they sort out the prize money 💰. |
