The trick here is to cement that F7 pawn, immobilize it, and then the threat over the b1-h7 diagonal can not be solved. More or less. There are lines where Black is just a piece behind, but the position is a mess. |

It wasn't rated because of its non-standard nature! i.e. Long gone are the days of 150/40 with adjournments, so it was just a bit of fun with the old format. I bet Jobava is happy it wasn't rated too. :) |
