The event was sponsored by North Sea Ferries. Each man on one team played twice each woman on the other team (double Scheveningen system). Six rounds in eight days, starting on Monday 13 November. Rest days 16 & 19 November (18 games). The men won 10½-7½, after it was tied 7½-7½ before the last round.
