Selected Games and Tournament Information.

WGM Nazi Paikidze was born Oct-27-1993 Georgia. Her March 2011 FIDE Rating 2425, number 54 in the world, (number 6 under 21 years of age).

She has lived in Moscow since 2006 and is a citizen of both Georgia and Russia. Prior to that Nazi lived in Tbilisi where she played for the Georgia Chess Federation.

In October 2014 she became a member of the United States Chess federation and will play in the Women's US Championship in 2015 as the fourth seed. She is a member of the University of Baltimore-Maryland County Chess Team and will play in the final four in 2015.

The 60th Russian Women's Chess Championship Super Final took place in the Moscow Central House of Chess from November 16 to 27, 2010. Nazi is participating in the <2015 USA Women's Championship> in St. Louis. She defeated the current USA Women's Champion in Round 3 and is off to a fine start with +1-0=2.

World Junior Girls Championship:

Nazi competed in the 2008 World Junior (Girls) Championship in Gaziantep TUR placing equal 2nd behind IM Dronavalli Harika. Her last round win over WGM Mariya Muzychuk gave Nazi 9/13 points and a podium finish. Notable was her second round win over WFM Anastasia Bodnaruk 2394 RUS. Nazi competed in the 2009 World Junior (Girls) Championship in Puerto Madryn, ARG scoring 7/13 (+6-5=2) placing equal 16th (17th overall) in a field of 45. She participated in the European Championship (Women) (2009)/Nazi Paikidze in St.Petersburg, RUS scoring (+4-3=4). All her games are included.

Nazi played in three Moscow Open Tournaments prior to her success in 2010. Here are her results:

In 2007 she started 53rd (2167) and finished 53rd with a score of 6/9 (+5-2=2.

In 2008 she started 27th (2311) and finished 22nd with a score of 6/9 (+5-1=4). Her loss was to IM Dronavalli Harika.

In 2009 she started 35th (2250) and finished 40th with a score of (+4-2=3) in a stronger field. She had draws with WGM Yang Shen and WGM Mariya Muzychuk.

Nazi Paikidze, in a very strong field, won the Women's Section of the Moscow Open (Feb-Mar 2010) over IM Salome Melia (GEO 2431). Both scored 7.5/9 to lead the field and Nazi won on tie-breaks. Nazi Paikidze placed equal third, seventh place on tie-breaks, with a score of 6.5/9 (+6-2=1) in the Polonia Wroclaw Chess Festival held in Wroclaw, Poland Jun 26-Jul 4, 2010. She had a win over GM Balogh in the last round and achieved her first IM norm. She also won against IM Simacek, the 2009 Czech Champion and WGM Zawadzka. The Biel Master's Tournament was held in July 2010 with Nazi being invited. She scored (+5-3=3), however, only played 1 opponent with a higher rating,a loss to GM Vitali Golod ISR (2585). Nazi competed at the Aeroflot Tournment, Moscow February 2011. Here is a picture at the start of Round 1 were she achieved a draw: http://www.russiachess.org/images/s....
